Combine design and sustainable lighting to reduce energy consumption
The following tips will help you achieve the perfect lighting in your home by controlling the energy consumption of electricity:
- Facilitate the entry of natural light into each room by installing double windows of the appropriate size to the size of the room, of a hermetic nature, which also improves the thermal insulation inside your home.
- Put blinds and curtains to regulate the amount of sunlight that enters at each hour of the day and use the right type of textile for each season. This way you can prevent the entry of cold air and also the overheating of the room or the deterioration of the color of your furniture.
- Change the lighting system of your house and place low consumption LED bulbs, taking into account the power necessary to choose the Watts of each lamp and the preferred light tone for each area. You can also replace your auxiliary artificial light sources like study lamps or floor lamps.
- Give a coat of paint to the ceilings and walls of your home from time to time and for this use thermal paint, with insulating and anti-humidity properties.
- Install energy-efficient night lights that are activated by a motion sensor to illuminate your home at night when you need a low-intensity light source for a short period.
